Ways to Pay Taxes
The filing deadline for 2024 for most personal ax returns has passed. If you owed any additional money upon filing your return, you probably paid it by having it debited from a personal account at your bank or credit union or by mailing a check at or around the time of filing you return. But did you know there are a number of other ways to pay up when you owe additional taxes? Here is a bulleted list of options from the IRS website.
- Pay from your bank account
- Debit Card, Credit Card or Digital Wallet
- Pay from your IRS account (requires account creation)
- Electronic Federal Tax Payment System
- Same Day Wire
- Check or Money Order (via US mail)
- Cash through a Retail Partner or Other Methods (certain limits may apply)
- Eletronic Funds Withdrawal (durinng return filling only)
